Winemaking philosophy
We make wines in a style that we would lie to drink: modern, pure and light but with plenty of concentration. We practise organic farming, using no chemicals, minimal intervention in natural processes and seek to maintain biodiversity. We don’t impose anything on our wines but strive to retain the fruity aromas while also letting the terroir shine through. We are exploring the potential of Furmint, Hárslevelű and Muscat.
We use steel tanks and traditional Zemplén and Stockinger oak barrels in the winemaking process and are also experimenting with amphora.
We produce 8-10,000 bottles of wine a year, with limited series produced only in outstanding vintages.
Our portfolio includes everything from Furmint sparkling wine to single vineyard Furmint and Harslevelű wines, as well as Muscat and sweet Szamorodni. We also produce Aszú in exceptional vintages.
SPARKLING

the characterful sparkling wine
Our first wine that became sparkling “by accident” in 2014, an iconically awful vintage. Since then, it hasn’t wanted to be anything other than sparkling. It has character, yet is not overbearing, with all the power of Furmint: lean with steely acidity and a creamy mousse.
DRY SELECTION

SANZON CLASSIC
A Furmint that you don’t need to think about too much, it just feels good to drink. Delicious fruit and judicious oak use shape its character. Complex on both the nose and the palate, it boasts bright acidity and an enticing mineral finish. It takes its name from the Erdőbénye coopers and the typical Zemplén oak barrels of the area in which it was fermented and matured.

SANZON FLEUR
One of Tokaj’s characteristic varieties, this is Muscat in an atypical but elegant and tight form. Benefitting from maceration on the skins and maturation in clay vessel, it boasts a restrainedly elegant nose as well as a serious structure framed by crystalline, pure acidity. For true lovers of rarity.
RÁNY VINEYARD SELECTION

It needs time to open for you to enjoy its layers.
